Market outlook
Stable Outlook 5/10
Mass-market deck cards usually trade in a relatively narrow band after launch unless a variant becomes especially sought after. Luffy branding supports baseline demand, but abundant distribution caps appreciation.
Next months. Likely to remain stable with minor fluctuation based on condition and grading premium.
Long term. Likely modest growth only if sealed product dries up and collector interest in English premium variants continues to expand.
History
Monkey D. Luffy is the protagonist of Eiichiro Oda's One Piece, a globally influential manga/anime franchise centered on piracy, freedom, and adventure. In the card game, Luffy is one of the Three Brothers theme leaders and represents the series' main heroic icon, making him one of the most recognizable and collectible characters in the One Piece TCG.
First released in Japan as part of the ULTRA DECK -The Three Brothers- (ST-13) on April 19, 2024; the English release of the same product followed as the English-language ST13 product line.
- The product is an Ultra Deck themed around Ace, Sabo, and Luffy, and all included cards are holographic.
- The official product page says the deck includes bonus-pack alternate designs that are only available in this product.
- The card number ST13-004 in the Ultra Deck product listing corresponds to Edward.Newgate in the deck list sources checked, so the provided card identity appears inconsistent with official numbering and may refer to a different printing or a cataloging error.
Collector notes
Condition. Check for edge whitening, corner wear, surface scratches, print lines, foil scuffing, and centering. As a full-art/holographic product card, surface wear and edge chipping are the most common issues.
Storage. Store in a penny sleeve and rigid top loader or graded slab; keep away from humidity, heat, and direct light. Use a card saver for submission and avoid frequent handling without gloves.
Authenticity. Verify the card number, set logo, holographic pattern, font sharpness, and back printing consistency with official One Piece TCG cards. Counterfeits often show incorrect text spacing, dull foil, poor color registration, or inconsistent card stock. Because the provided ST13-004/Luffy pairing conflicts with official deck numbering, cross-check against the deck list and packaging before purchase.
