About TCGAI.PRO

TCGAI.PRO is a free AI-powered pre-grading tool that helps collectors and players estimate the condition of their trading cards before they spend money on professional grading. Upload a clear photo of your card and our computer-vision models return an estimated grade on the standard 1-10 scale, along with a breakdown of what is helping and hurting your card's condition.

We built TCGAI.PRO for one simple reason: professional grading is slow, expensive, and final. Submitting cards that come back lower than expected is a costly disappointment. A fast, honest estimate up front helps you decide which cards are worth submitting, which to protect, and which to sell raw.

What We Do

How Our AI Works

When you upload an image, our system analyzes it the same way an experienced grader's eye would, but with consistent, pixel-level measurement. The models were trained on tens of thousands of real, professionally graded cards so they learned how the four core condition factors translate into a final grade.

The four factors we measure

  • Centering: we detect the card's borders and measure the ratio of margins on the left/right and top/bottom, both front and back.
  • Corners: computer vision checks each corner for sharpness, whitening, fraying, and rounding.
  • Edges: the edges are scanned for nicks, chipping, and wear along all four sides.
  • Surface: we look for scratches, print lines, dents, indentations, and gloss loss across the card face.

Each factor is scored, and those scores are combined into an overall estimate on the familiar 1-10 scale, including the difference between a clean copy and a true Gem Mint 10. Because the analysis is automated, the same card photographed the same way will return the same result every time.

Accuracy & Honesty

We believe trust is earned by being upfront about what AI can and cannot do. In our testing against cards that were later graded by professional graders, our estimates typically land within about 0.5 to 1 point of the final grade when the photos are clear and well lit.

That said, here are the honest limitations you should know:

  • Photo quality matters most. Blurry images, glare, shadows, or steep angles reduce accuracy. Good lighting and a flat, straight-on shot give the best results.
  • Some flaws are hard to see in a photo. Subtle surface scratches, slight bends, and print defects can be missed by any camera, including the human eye.
  • We do not authenticate cards. Our tool estimates condition, not whether a card is genuine, altered, or trimmed.
  • It is an estimate, not a verdict. Final grades are assigned by third-party graders under controlled conditions. Treat our score as informed guidance, not a guarantee.

We would rather give you a realistic number than an optimistic one. Our goal is to help you avoid surprises, not create them.
