History

Perona is a recurring character from One Piece, originally a member of Gecko Moria’s Thriller Bark Pirates and one of the crew’s zombie commanders. She is known for her gothic aesthetic, abrasive but comedic personality, and the Hollow Hollow no Mi powers that create negative ghosts, making her a fan-favorite villain-turned-ally figure in the franchise.

First released in the Japanese and English Wings of the Captain set (OP06) on March 14, 2024, as OP06-093 in alternate art form.

Collector notes

Condition. Check for edge whitening, corner wear, surface scratches on the foil, centering, and print lines. Alternate art foil cards often show visible surface scuffs and edge chipping under light.

Storage. Store in a penny sleeve and rigid top loader or sealed magnetic holder, away from heat, moisture, and UV light. For high-grade copies, avoid repeated handling and consider a graded slab for long-term protection.

Authenticity. Verify crisp print quality, correct card number OP06-093, proper English text alignment, and authentic foil pattern. Counterfeits often have blurry text, weak saturation, incorrect font spacing, or off-color borders. Compare against known authentic texture and holo finish. The alternate art should match the official One Piece OP06 alternate art design and not resemble the special-event championship versions.
