Collector notes
Condition. Key things to check include centering, edge wear, surface scratches, and corner dents. Common flaws for Secret Rare Alt Art cards include printing misalignment, gloss inconsistencies, and foil damage. The card's foil finish is especially prone to micro-scratches.
Storage. Store the card in a rigid top-loader or a semi-rigid card sleeve, kept in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Use a card album with protective pages or a storage box designed for collectible cards to prevent bending and moisture damage.
Authenticity. Fakes can be spotted by checking for incorrect cardstock thickness, poor print quality, or missing holographic elements. The official card has a distinct 'Secret Rare' holographic pattern and the 'NIJIMAARC' illustrator credit. Verify the set code 'OP06-119' and the 'Wings of the Captain' set name. Reprints from PRB02 may have slightly different color saturation or gloss.
