Market outlook
Stable Outlook 4/10
The regular card should remain very cheap because it is a common from a modern mass-printed set. The stamped Portuguese version may hold a modest premium among Pikachu and language-set collectors, but broad upside is limited by supply and the lack of chase-tier rarity.
Next months. Likely stable with small collector-driven fluctuations for the stamped variant.
Long term. Over 1-3 years, the regular card should stay low-value; the stamped Portuguese version may slowly gain modest premium if sealed/stamped supply remains limited.
History
Pikachu is the franchise mascot and one of the most recognizable Pokémon characters, introduced in the original Pokémon games and anime as a small Electric-type mouse Pokémon. It represents the brand globally and is associated with Ash Ketchum in the anime, making it one of the most culturally significant characters in the Pokémon Trading Card Game.
This printing is from the Scarlet & Violet—Temporal Forces expansion, first released internationally on March 22, 2024. The Portuguese-language version with the Dia de Pokémon stamp is a special stamped distribution/marketing variant tied to Pokémon Day 2026 packaging, rather than a distinct original set release.
- Card number 051/162, Common rarity, Basic Lightning-type Pikachu with 70 HP and the attack Random Spark for 10 damage.
- Illustrated by kodama in the standard Temporal Forces release.
- This specific copy is the Portuguese-language version with a special Dia de Pokémon stamp, making it more of a stamped promo-style variant than a normal base pull in collector interest.
Collector notes
Condition. Check for whitening on corners and edges, centering, surface scratches, print lines, and stamp clarity. Because it is a common card, even small flaws matter less financially than on rares, but stamped variants are still inspected closely for dents, bends, and ink wear.
Storage. Store in a penny sleeve and rigid top-loader or semi-rigid holder. Keep away from humidity, sunlight, and friction, and avoid stacking loose stamped cards together to preserve the stamp and surfaces.
Authenticity. Verify the Portuguese text, card number 051/162, correct Temporal Forces layout, and the Dia de Pokémon stamp. Counterfeits may show blurry text, off-color borders, incorrect font weight, weak stamp definition, or inconsistent holographic/print texture compared with genuine Pokémon cards.
