Market outlook
Stable Outlook 6/10
A one-of-one card usually holds collector interest because supply is fixed, but the near-term price path is driven more by player performance and buyer competition than by set availability alone. Without stronger public sales data in the provided sources, a stable-to-selectively rising profile is the most supportable outlook.
Next months. Expect narrow price discovery with occasional spikes if the player gains attention or if a strong collector of the player or set emerges.
Long term. Over 1-3 years, value could rise meaningfully if Fernando Mendoza becomes a sought-after player; otherwise, the card is likely to remain a niche but collectible one-of-one asset.
History
Fernando Mendoza is a real football player featured in 2025 Wild Card Alumination Comix Improbable football cards. The 'Comix' format presents him in a comic-book style insert design, and the One of One Full Art version is positioned as the top rarity tier within the card's promotional family. The available sources do not identify an official league history, college background, or biography for this specific card listing, so the card’s significance is primarily driven by its player subject, one-of-one scarcity, and premium art treatment.[1][3][4]
The card was first released as part of the 2025 Wild Card Alumination Fernando Mendoza Comix Improbable Football Hobby product, sold in 2025 through retail listings for the product line.[1][3]
- The product listing states that the 2025 Wild Card Alumination Fernando Mendoza Comix Improbable Football release includes One of One Autographs and other low-numbered parallels, with all cards numbered 5 or less.[1]
- A marketplace listing specifically shows a Fernando Mendoza 1/2 card from the same 2025 Wild Card Alumination Comix line, confirming that multiple ultra-low-numbered versions exist in the set family.[2]
- SportsCardsPro maintains a dedicated value page for 2025 Wild Card Fernando Mendoza Comix football cards, indicating collector tracking and secondary-market interest for this issue.[4]

Collector notes
Condition. Check for corner crushing, edge chipping, surface scratches, print lines, foil scuffs, and any flaws to the full-art image area. Because this is a premium one-of-one style card, even minor whitening, lifting, or scratching can materially affect desirability.
Storage. Store in a penny sleeve and a high-quality toploader or one-touch case sized correctly for the card thickness. Keep it away from humidity, heat, and direct light, and consider an archival penny sleeve plus a magnetic holder for display and long-term protection.
Authenticity. Verify the serializing and one-of-one designation against the card face and any checklist information available from the release. Because the card is highly scarce, confirm print quality, font consistency, foil alignment, and manufacturing finish; suspiciously blurry text, incorrect stock, or missing product-specific design details can indicate alterations or counterfeit production.
