Market outlook
Rising Outlook 7/10
Supply is fixed and relatively limited, while demand is supported by Zoro’s enduring popularity, competitive One Piece Card Game collector interest, and the appeal of Championship-stamped promos. As more copies are absorbed into long-term collections or graded populations, available market supply can tighten further.
Next months. Expect prices to remain firm with occasional spikes when well-centered or high-grade copies appear. Raw market values should stay within a relatively tight range unless competitive play or franchise popularity produces a new demand surge.
Long term. Over 1-3 years, the card is likely to appreciate gradually, especially in graded 10 or equivalent grades and in sealed or authenticated championship-stamped form. Growth should be steady rather than explosive unless the One Piece card market experiences a broader expansion in collector demand.
History
Roronoa Zoro is a core member of the Straw Hat Crew in One Piece, created by Eiichiro Oda. He is one of the most recognizable characters in the franchise, known as a three-sword-style swordsman whose popularity extends across manga, anime, and trading cards. In the One Piece Card Game, Zoro cards are consistently among the most sought-after character cards because he is a flagship fan-favorite with strong playability and collector appeal.
This card was first released in 2024 as part of the One Piece Championship 2024 Event Pack, specifically the Championship/Finalist promotional distribution for P-042. It was awarded through organized play event packs rather than a regular booster release.
- P-042 is a promotional Championship 2024 card and is not from a standard expansion set.
- The card features a yellow Character profile with 4 cost, 5000 power, and a [Trigger] effect that K.O.s up to 1 opposing Character with cost 4 or less.
- Champion/Finalist-stamped event promos tend to have much lower print quantities than mass-market packs, making this version notably scarcer than regular Zoro cards.

Collector notes
Condition. Check for edge whitening, corner dings, centering, surface scratches, and foil scuffing. Promo cards from event packs often show wear from handling, so surface defects and corner compression are common. Stamps or event text should be crisp and fully legible.
Storage. Immediately sleeve the card in a perfect-fit inner sleeve, then place it in a rigid top loader or card saver. For long-term storage, keep it in a low-humidity, temperature-stable environment, away from sunlight. If graded, use a protective slab bag and avoid stacking pressure.
Authenticity. Verify the P-042 numbering, official Bandai printing quality, foil consistency, and the Championship 2024 event stamp/style. Compare font weight, alignment, and edge cut against verified copies. Counterfeits often show washed-out color, blurry text, off-center stamp placement, or incorrect holo sheen.
