Market outlook
Stable Outlook 7/10
The alt art appears to have settled into a collector-driven price band rather than a speculative spike. Character popularity should keep demand steady, while supply remains limited to sealed product openings and the secondary market.
Next months. Likely to trade in a fairly narrow range with modest volatility, especially if graded supply increases or a new wave of interest in OP-16 occurs.
Long term. Over 1 to 3 years, the card should remain a stable collectible with gradual appreciation if One Piece Card Game demand stays strong, though the manga rare version will likely remain the premium chase.
History
Kuzan is the Marine code name of Admiral Aokiji, one of the most important power figures in One Piece. He is known for the Hie Hie no Mi ice powers, his calm personality, and his complex moral stance that often puts justice above blind obedience. In the card game, Kuzan is a marquee Admiral character and one of the most collectible faces of the OP-16 era.
First released in English as part of the One Piece Card Game set 2nd Anniversary Collection in 2024, with card number OP16-063 and an alternate-art Secret Rare treatment in the same release line.
- OP16-063 is an alternate-art Secret Rare version of Kuzan, one of the set’s premium chase cards.
- In OP-16, Kuzan is one of the cards that also has other alternate versions, making the character especially prominent in the set.
- Market tracking in 2026 shows a large gap between the base/alternate versions and the manga-style chase variant, with the alt art remaining much more affordable than the manga rare.

Collector notes
Condition. Check centering, surface scratching, edge whitening, corner dings, and foil wear. Alternate-art One Piece cards often show visible micro-scratches on the holo surface and whitening on black or dark borders if handled heavily.
Storage. Store in a penny sleeve and rigid top loader or semi-rigid holder, keep away from humidity and heat, and avoid friction against textured foils. For long-term preservation, use archival sleeves and stable upright storage.
Authenticity. Verify the exact card number OP16-063, the English text, correct Secret Rare treatment, and the alternate-art visual layout. Counterfeits often have weak color saturation, blurry text, off font spacing, incorrect holo pattern, or poor edge cutting. Compare the star/alt-art treatment and printing quality against a known authentic copy.
