Market outlook
Stable Outlook 7/10
The card has steady long-term collector demand but limited competitive relevance, so price movement is usually gradual rather than explosive. Portuguese-language scarcity may support premiums for clean graded copies.
Next months. Likely to remain range-bound with modest swings based on listing volume and graded supply.
Long term. Likely stable to mildly rising for high-grade Portuguese copies, especially graded 10-equivalent examples, while raw copies should stay relatively affordable.
History
Necrozma is a Legendary Pokémon introduced in Generation 7 (Pokémon Ultra Sun/Ultra Moon) as a mysterious, extradimensional Psychic-type known for absorbing light and energy. In the card game, Necrozma is a popular Legendary subject because it appears in multiple forms and alternate-art treatments across several eras, making it a recognizable chase character rather than a one-off species card.
First released in the Pokémon TCG: Sword & Shield — Battle Styles expansion on March 19, 2021, as card 149/163. The Portuguese-language version was released through the same international Battle Styles print line and distributed in Portuguese-language markets after the initial set release.
- This is the Full Art Ultra Rare version of Necrozma V from Battle Styles, distinct from the regular non-full-art Necrozma V in the same set.
- The card has 220 HP, the V rule, and attacks Prismatic Ray and Special Laser, making it a collectible V-era card rather than a major competitive staple.
- Battle Styles included 16 full-art Pokémon V cards, and Necrozma V (149/163) is one of the set’s full-art hits.
- The card was illustrated by PLANETA Tsuji.
- Portuguese copies are scarcer in the collector market than English copies because international language print demand is lower and supply is thinner in many regions.
Collector notes
Condition. Check for edge whitening, corner wear, surface scratches on the full-art holo background, print lines, centering, and foil scuffing. Full-art V cards also commonly show corner friction and surface scratches that are more visible under angled light.
Storage. Use a penny sleeve plus a semi-rigid or top loader, keep it away from humidity and direct sunlight, and store vertically to avoid edge pressure. For higher-grade copies, use fresh sleeves and minimal handling to preserve the holo surface and corners.
Authenticity. Authentic copies should show crisp text, correct Portuguese typography, clean set numbering 149/163, and consistent full-art holo texture. Fakes often have dull or overly glossy foiling, incorrect font weight, sloppy energy icons, weak black border definition, and poor color saturation. Compare the card’s texture and back coloration against a verified Battle Styles Portuguese card if possible.
