Market outlook
Stable Outlook 6/10
Recent set with consistent graded sales but no explosive hype; values hold for high grades amid steady collector interest in Alolan themes.
Next months. Stable with minor fluctuations; graded 10 holds $100-150 USD next 3-6 months.
Long term. Gradual decline as set ages unless meta relevance boosts demand; chase status may preserve mid-tier value.
History
Alolan Dugtrio is the regional variant of Dugtrio from Pokémon Sun and Moon, set in Alola. This dark/steel-type Pokémon consists of three Diglett heads that emerged from Alolan soil, featuring golden fur and enhanced digging abilities adapted to volcanic environments, making it a unique evolution distinct from the original Kanto Dugtrio.
First released in the Pokémon TCG Surging Sparks set in November 2024 as part of the English SV08 expansion.
- Illustration Rare variant features stunning artwork highlighting the three golden heads in a dynamic pose.
- Attack 'Trio-Cheehoo' deals 120 damage but requires exactly 3 cards in hand, tying into its three-head theme.
- Part of the Scarlet & Violet era, focusing on innovative mechanics and Alolan Pokémon revivals.

Collector notes
Condition. Inspect for centering issues on the intricate illustration borders, print lines on golden fur details, edge whitening from sleeves, and surface scratches on holo foil; common flaws include miscut edges and finger prints on the artwork.
Storage. Store in semi-rigid holders or top-loaders with sleeves in cool, dry conditions away from sunlight to prevent foil oxidation; use acid-free albums for display.
Authenticity. Verify holo pattern consistency, font sharpness on text, and set symbol alignment; check for correct UV-reactive ink under blacklight and compare to official scans; fakes often have blurry artwork or incorrect card stock thickness.
