History

Kylian Mbappé is one of the world's most prominent footballers, a French professional who became a global icon for his speed, technical skill, and goal-scoring prowess. He joined Real Madrid in 2024 after a highly successful tenure at Paris Saint-Germain, marking a new chapter in his career and significantly boosting his desirability in football trading cards[1].

This specific card variant (Kylian Mbappé, Set: Unknown, #204, 2024, Type: FOOTBALL, Rarity: Rare) does not have a publicly documented first print date or location in available search results. However, Mbappé's 2024 cards were first widely released in the Panini Megacracks 2024/2025 Real Madrid set (#459, 2nd edition) following his signing[1].

• Mbappé is often associated with 'Holo Giants' and 'Black Friday Splash of Color' card variants in 2024, which are highly collectible[2][3].
• A 2024 Lamine Yamal one-of-one Superfractor relic card featuring Mbappé was sold for over $20,000, indicating high market value for top-tier Mbappé cards[4].
• A Kylian Mbappé 2024-25 Topps Merlin Soccer Superfractor #1/1 was pulled from a BLASTER BOX, showing extreme scarcity in limited editions[5].

Collector notes

Condition. Key things to check include centering, edge wear, and surface scratches. Common flaws in Mbappé's 2024 cards include miscentering in holographic variants and color fading in 'Splash of Color' editions[2][3].

Storage. Store cards in acid-free sleeves within a rigid top loader. Keep them in a cool, dry environment away from direct sunlight to prevent color degradation, especially for holographic and color variants[2].

Authenticity. Fakes often lack the precise holographic pattern or show inconsistent color saturation. Authentication tips include verifying graded grading labels for signed cards and confirming the exact card number and set name against official databases[7].
