History
Zekrom is a legendary Dragon/Electric-type Pokémon from Generation V, introduced in Pokémon Black and White games. It represents truth (in Pokémon Black) and is the counterpart to Reshiram (ideals in White). Created by the twin heroes of Unova legend, Zekrom embodies the concept of truth with its powerful Bolt Strike signature move and turbine tail that generates electricity, making it a fan-favorite for its iconic black-and-white design and lore significance in the Unova region's mythology.
First released February 8, 2011, in the English Black & White base set; originally printed in Japan as part of the Black Collection in 2010.
- This Full Art #114/114 is one of the chase cards from the Black & White base set, featuring stunning holofoil artwork by 2019 Pokémon World Champion Javis Yu.
- Zekrom's card artwork depicts it in a dynamic pose generating lightning, highly sought after by collectors.
- No 25th Anniversary special stamps exist on this 2011 card; that detail appears erroneous for this set.

Collector notes
Condition. Check for centering issues on front/back (common flaw in early BW holos), edge whitening/chipping from playwear, surface scratches on holo pattern, print lines on black borders, and centering deviations due to thick holo foil; Moderately Played copies often show these.
Storage. Use semi-rigid or Dragon Shield sleeves with top loaders for raw cards; store in cool, dry environment away from sunlight to prevent holo oxidation; penny sleeves essential to avoid edge damage.
Authenticity. Legitimate cards have crisp black borders without pixelation, accurate holo pattern shifting from black to white/lightning; fakes often have blurry text, incorrect font spacing on 'Ultra Rare' stamp, or dull holo foil; check reverse side copyright '11 Pokémon'; use TCGplayer mass entry or graded authentication for high-value copies.
