History

As an iconic dragon-like fire-breather, it holds immense significance as one of the most popular Pokémon, frequently featured in media, merchandise, and competitive play due to its powerful attacks like Flamethrower and Seismic Toss.
First released in the Pokémon TCG Obsidian Flames set on August 11, 2023, in English markets; German version released simultaneously as part of the international rollout.

Collector notes
Condition. Inspect centering on holo pattern and borders, check for print lines or scratches on textured Charizard artwork, watch for edge whitening and corner dings common in Double Rare foiling; German text may show slight font misalignment in low-grade copies.
Storage. Use semi-rigid top-loaders with sleeves in cool, dry environments away from sunlight to prevent holo oxidation; avoid stacking without dividers for Double Rare thickness.
Authenticity. Verify black market symbol placement and font accuracy for 'Glurak ex' in German; authentic cards have crisp holo stamping without bubbling—compare to official scans; fakes often have dull foil or incorrect set code OBF 125.
