Market outlook
Stable Outlook 7/10
The card sits in the established premium tier for modern Pokémon, with durable character demand and broad collector recognition. Prices may soften or rise modestly depending on grading supply, set nostalgia, and overall Pokémon market sentiment, but major long-term collapse is less likely than for lesser chase cards.
Next months. Likely to trade in a relatively tight range with occasional spikes for gem-mint copies and strong raw demand.
Long term. Over 1-3 years, likely to remain a blue-chip modern chase within the Paldean Fates set, with gradual appreciation possible if graded 10 populations stabilize and nostalgia for Scarlet & Violet-era hits strengthens.
History
Mew is a Mythical Pokémon first introduced in the original Pokémon franchise, known for its genetic flexibility, playful personality, and status as a progenitor-like figure in Pokémon lore. In the TCG, Mew has long been a premium fan-favorite subject for special artwork and powerful utility cards. This Mew ex from Paldean Fates continues that tradition, pairing a highly collectible alternate-art treatment with a strong, flexible Ability and attack that references the opponent's Active Pokémon.
First released in the English expansion Scarlet & Violet—Paldean Fates in 2024, as card number 232/091, distributed through the standard English-language international release channels including booster packs and related sealed product.
- This is a Special Illustration Rare (SIR), one of the most sought-after chase tiers in the Scarlet & Violet era.
- The card features the Restart Ability, which lets you draw until you have 3 cards in hand once per turn, making it both collectible and playable.
- Mew is one of the most iconic and marketable Pokémon, which often increases long-term collector demand for premium printings.

Collector notes
Condition. Check the front surface carefully for print lines, whitening on corners and edges, centering, and holo wear. SIR cards are especially prone to edge whitening, micro-scratches on the textured surface, and factory nicks from pack collation or handling.
Storage. Use inner sleeves immediately, then place in a clean semi-rigid or top-loader for long-term protection. Keep away from humidity, heat, and UV light. For high-value copies, consider grading if centering and surface are strong.
Authenticity. Authentic copies should show the correct texture pattern, clean print resolution, and standard Pokémon TCG holo/foil behavior. Watch for blurry text, incorrect font weight, off-color borders, flat texture, or missing microtexture on the illustration rare finish. Compare the card's layout, set symbol, and numbering against known authentic examples.
