Market outlook
Stable Outlook 7/10
Demand is supported by Crown Zenith collector interest and Zeraora popularity, but the card has already had time to settle into a mature modern market. Price movement is likely to be moderate rather than explosive, with premium copy grades outperforming raw copies.
Next months. Likely to remain relatively stable with minor fluctuations based on grading demand and overall Pokémon market sentiment.
Long term. Over 1-3 years, strong-condition and graded 10 copies should retain collector appeal and may trend upward gradually, while raw copies are likely to move more slowly.
History
Zeraora is a Mythical Electric-type Pokémon introduced in Generation VII (Pokémon Ultra Sun/Ultra Moon era). In the trading card game, it is often treated as a fast, aggressive attacker with strong Electric-type synergy. This Crown Zenith Full Art/Galarian Gallery version is significant because it showcases Zeraora as a featured chase-style gallery card rather than a standard main-set rarity, making it especially appealing to collectors who favor modern illustrated cards and Legendary/Mythical Pokémon.
First released in English as part of the 2023 Pokémon Sword & Shield: Crown Zenith expansion, specifically the Galarian Gallery subset entry GG42/GG70. It was available in Crown Zenith products beginning January 2023.
- This card is one of two notable Zeraora chase variants in Crown Zenith, the other being the standard Ultra Rare holo print (#054/159).
- Crown Zenith is known for its Galarian Gallery subset, which includes highly collectible alternate-art style cards with strong demand among modern Pokémon collectors.
- Zeraora VMAX is associated with the VMAX mechanic from the Sword & Shield era, giving it a visually prominent, oversized evolution-stage presentation that often attracts sealed-product and art-card collectors.
Collector notes
Condition. Check for edge whitening, corner wear, surface scratches, print lines, centering issues, and holo foil scuffing. Full-art and gallery cards often show visible edge wear on the black/dark borders and minor roller marks or print defects on the textured surface. Whitening on the back edges and scratches across the artwork area are common downgrade factors.
Storage. Use penny sleeves immediately after opening, then place in a clean top loader, card saver, or semi-rigid holder for valuable copies. Keep the card away from moisture, heat, direct sunlight, and repeated handling. For graded-card candidates, avoid touching the surface and store upright in a low-humidity environment.
Authenticity. Authentic copies should show correct Crown Zenith textures, crisp print quality, proper set numbering GG42/GG70, and consistent fonts/logos. Fakes may have washed-out colors, incorrect holo texture, poor cutting, or blurry text. Compare suspicious copies to known scans, and verify weight, texture, and surface pattern. graded/graded/graded authentication is advisable for higher-value graded sales.
