Market outlook
Rising Outlook 7/10
Demand is supported by Luffy's status as the face of One Piece and by the commemorative event nature of the card. Modern Japanese promos often appreciate when the supply is limited and grading populations remain manageable.
Next months. Likely to remain firm with mild upward pressure, especially for graded 10 copies and sealed/event-stamped examples.
Long term. Over 1-3 years, it has a good chance to appreciate modestly if One Piece collecting stays strong, with the best upside in top grades and pristine sealed examples.
History
Monkey D. Luffy is the protagonist of Eiichiro Oda's One Piece, one of the most influential manga/anime franchises in the world. As captain of the Straw Hat Pirates, he is defined by his goal to become King of the Pirates, his rubber-like abilities from the Gum-Gum Fruit (later revealed as the Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Nika), and his role as a symbol of freedom, adventure, and rebellion. In trading card terms, Luffy is the flagship character for One Piece collecting, and promo cards featuring him are consistently among the most desired.
First released in Japan as part of the One Piece Day 2025 Premium Card Collection / One Piece Day '25 promo distribution, with card number P-110. It was introduced as a special event promo tied to ONE PIECE DAY '25, rather than a standard booster-pack insert.
- Japanese-language event promo with special ONE PIECE DAY '25 stamp, making it a commemorative release.
- Features full-art/block-style artwork of Luffy in his Elbaf outfit, giving it strong visual appeal beyond standard promo cards.
- Because it is tied to a limited-time event distribution, it is generally treated as a scarce modern promo with strong collector demand.

Collector notes
Condition. Check for edge whitening, corner dings, surface scratches, print lines, centering issues, and any scuffing from handling at the event. Full-art promo cards also show sleeve/rub wear, especially on dark or solid-color areas. Verify that the special stamp is crisp and not misaligned or faded.
Storage. Store immediately in a penny sleeve and rigid top loader or card saver, ideally after scanning/photographing for records. Keep away from humidity and direct light, and use desiccant in long-term storage. For high-grade copies, handle only by edges and avoid repeated removal from sleeves.
Authenticity. Authenticate by comparing the exact P-110 artwork, Japanese text, card stock finish, and the ONE PIECE DAY '25 stamp placement. Watch for rebacked cards, altered stamps, and printed reproductions that lack the correct texture/gloss and sharp micro-printing. For expensive copies, graded/graded/graded grading or purchasing from reputable Japanese marketplaces/dealers is recommended.
