Market outlook
Rising Outlook 7/10
Demand is supported by Nami’s long-term popularity, competitive play relevance for some builds, and ongoing collector interest in One Piece premium arts. Scarcity of pristine copies tends to support stronger prices for the best variants, even if standard copies remain soft.
Next months. Expect prices for clean collector/full-art copies to stay firm with moderate volatility; standard copies should remain relatively accessible.
Long term. Over 1-3 years, premium versions are likely to hold value or gradually appreciate if One Piece continues to expand and collector interest stays strong, with the best-condition graded copies outperforming raw standard variants.
History
Nami is the navigator of the Straw Hat Pirates in One Piece, one of the series’ core original crew members and one of its most recognizable characters. In the Egghead-era storyline, this artwork/printing reflects her continued prominence as part of the Straw Hat Crew and the broader fan-favorite appeal of the character across both the manga/anime and trading card game.
First released in English as OP08-106 in the One Piece Card Game set Two Legends (2024). The card later also appears in related parallel/full-art collector treatments from the same set line.
- Official card identity: Nami, Character, Yellow, 5 cost, 5000 power, +1000 counter, Super Rare.
- The card’s gameplay text rewards discarding a card with a [Trigger] effect from hand to KO an opponent’s Character with cost 5 or less, and can draw a card if your hand is at 3 or fewer cards.
- This card is widely collected in full-art/parallel form because Nami is a high-demand fan-favorite character and One Piece collector cards often have strong character-driven demand.
Collector notes
Condition. Check for whitening on corners and edges, surface scratches in the holo/full-art finish, print lines, centering, and any pressure marks from handling or sleeving. Full-art/parallel cards are especially prone to visible surface scuffs, clouding, and edge wear on dark or saturated borders.
Storage. Store immediately in a penny sleeve and rigid top loader or semi-rigid holder, ideally with a fitted card saver for submission. Keep away from UV light, heat, humidity, and friction; use clean gloves or dry hands to avoid print-surface damage. For premium copies, consider double-sleeving and long-term storage in an archival box.
Authenticity. Verify correct card number OP08-106, English text alignment, texture/foil pattern, logo placement, and print quality. Counterfeits often show blurry text, incorrect font weight, off-color yellow tones, poor holo texture, or weak edges. Compare against known legitimate images from major databases and ensure the reverse/card stock feel matches official One Piece Card Game stock. For high-value graded candidates, submit to a reputable third-party authenticator/grader.
