Market outlook
Stable Outlook 7/10
The card is likely to cool from initial post-release volatility and then stabilize as collectors absorb supply. Long-term movement depends on Zeraora popularity, sealed product availability, and whether it remains the definitive premium version of the card.
Next months. Likely to trade in a relatively narrow range after launch spikes, with raw copies hovering near the current mid-$50s to mid-$60s band unless a new collector surge occurs.
Long term. Likely gradual appreciation if sealed supply shrinks and Zeraora remains a favored character, with graded gem-mint copies outperforming raw copies over time.
History
Zeraora is a Mythical Electric-type Pokémon introduced in Generation VII, known for its speed, lightning-based powers, and feline, near-instant movement style. Mega Zeraora ex appears to be an alternate/mega-themed collectible treatment of Zeraora used in the Pokémon TCG’s Mega Evolution-era branding, with the card’s appeal tied to Zeraora’s popularity as a modern Mythical Pokémon and to its striking full-art Secret Rare presentation.
First released in English in the Pokémon TCG set Pitch Black, card 114/084, on July 17, 2026.
- Card number 114/084 identifies it as a Special Illustration Rare rather than a standard numbered rare.
- It is a Basic Lightning-type Pokémon with 270 HP and attacks Thunderous Fist and Zepto Turn.
- The card’s first English printing is associated with the ME05: Pitch Black expansion and is illustrated by GIDORA.

Collector notes
Condition. Check for whitening on edges and corners, surface scratches on the holo layer, centering on both front and back, print lines in the artwork, and any pressure marks from pack handling. Full-art secret rares also show wear easily on the borderless surfaces and textured foil finish.
Storage. Store in a penny sleeve plus rigid top loader or semi-rigid holder, keep away from light, heat, and humidity, and avoid friction on the textured surface. For long-term storage, use an acid-free binder with side-loading pages or an archival slab after grading.
Authenticity. Verify the exact set/numbering, textured holographic finish, crisp print quality, and correct font/layout for the ME05-era card frame. Counterfeits often have flat holo patterns, blurry text, off-color Energy symbols, incorrect texture, or poor edge cuts; compare against a trusted authentic copy if possible.
