Market outlook
Stable Outlook 7/10
The card benefits from enduring character appeal and a recognizable premium presentation, but it is already a mature market item with a relatively established price range. Demand is consistent, though not driven by tournament utility. Gradual appreciation is more likely than sharp spikes unless renewed media or nostalgia waves occur.
Next months. Likely to remain in a stable trading range with occasional spikes for gem-mint graded copies and visually strong raw examples.
Long term. Over 1-3 years, the card should trend gently upward if broader Pokémon nostalgia demand continues, especially for graded 10/near-mint premium copies, though gains may be moderate rather than dramatic.
History
Togepi, Cleffa, and Igglybuff are baby Pokémon from the Pokémon franchise, first introduced in the Johto era as pre-evolutions of Togetic, Clefairy, and Jigglypuff respectively. This TAG TEAM-GX card brings together three beloved, highly recognizable baby Pokémon from different evolutionary lines into one nostalgic, fan-favorite promotional full-art card. The trio is especially significant to collectors because it combines strong appeal from early-generation Pokémon nostalgia with the modern-era TAG TEAM mechanic, making it both a gameplay piece and a display-focused collectible.
First released in 2020 as a special alternate-art promotional print associated with the Sword & Shield-era promotional ecosystem but released within the Cosmic Eclipse / SM-era card numbering as 143a/236. The card is known as a promo/full-art variant and later circulated in the English market through premium product distribution and special promotional channels rather than as a standard pack-only pull.
- TAG TEAM-GX cards feature a special rule: when knocked out, the opponent takes 3 Prize cards.
- This card has one of the most iconic baby-Pokémon character combinations in the TCG, making it a favorite among nostalgia collectors.
- The 143a designation marks it as an alternate/promotional variant distinct from the regular 143/236 printing.

Collector notes
Condition. Check for edge whitening on the black border areas, surface scratching on the holo/full-art finish, corner dings, centering issues, and print lines in the foil. Because this is a promo/full-art style card, scratches and scuffing on the front surface are common and materially affect grade. Inspect the back for whitening and small dents from packaging.
Storage. Use a penny sleeve plus rigid top loader or semi-rigid holder immediately after handling. Store away from light, humidity, and heat. For higher-value copies, consider a graded slab or a perfect-fit sleeve inside an archival binder page. Avoid stacking or loose storage because the holo surface scratches easily.
Authenticity. Verify the card number 143a/236, correct English text formatting, proper GX/TAG TEAM layout, and the promo/full-art finish. Counterfeits often have wrong font weights, dull or overly glossy surfaces, incorrect color saturation, or poor texture in the full-art pattern. Compare the back color and border tone to a known authentic copy; fake cards often have mismatched blue on the back and blurry text. For high-value copies, third-party grading or comparison against trusted marketplace scans is recommended.
